WHERE Our classes are held in an indoor riding school in Great Kingshill so we are under cover and have LOTS of space. Full social distancing and Covid secure measures are in place. The surface is sand and the approach is a farm track, so level but uneven; please talk to us if you have mobility needs.
HOW MUCH? The six week course is £135, which includes full course notes.
IS THIS SUITABLE FOR MY PUPPY? The class is suitable for any young dog who has not received basic training but the younger they begin, the better. Puppies should be vaccinated before beginning, please talk to your vet. We do accept older puppies onto this course - we manage puppy interactions carefully and find it's beneficial for puppies to have the opportunity to mix with a variety of ages. If your puppy will be over six months at the start of class, please talk to us first.
Puppy classes - the best possible start
Our puppy classes are small, relaxed and friendly. We work with the latest methods and continually update and improve our puppy training.
In this comprehensive six-week course we show you how to teach your pup the essential life skills they need to become a contented family pet.
There's time to talk through typical puppy problems, like playbiting, and we throw in lots of games too. The emphasis is on enjoyment and success for you and your pup.
In just six sessions HotDog's Perfect Puppy Foundations course teaches your puppy to:-
* Pay attention when you say his/her name
* Come to you when called
* Walk on a relaxed lead
* Sit and stay
* Settle quietly on a bed
* Greet people calmly (no jumping up!)
* Give up an object when asked
* Come away from things they shouldn't touch
* Gain confidence in the outside world
* Learn nosework games they'll love
